The Kirloskar BHR/BHQ/BHM/BHK/BHMa/BHA series are large vertical turbine pumps constructed rigidly to ensure vibration-free operation with updated hydraulic designs from continuous R&D. Manufactured by Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), these pumps deliver capacity up to 55,000 m³/hr, head up to 240 metres, and delivery sizes up to 2,200 mm. Comprising bowl assembly, column assembly, and driving unit, they are engineered for lift irrigation, power plant cooling, refinery operations, seawater handling, fire fighting, flood control, and condensate extraction applications.

The BHR/BHQ/BHM/BHK vertical turbine pump family features low submergence requirements and requires no priming, as the pump bowls operate submerged in the liquid source. The three-component construction — bowl assembly (hydraulic section), column assembly (connecting pipe and shaft), and driving unit (motor/gear head) — allows for flexible installation in deep wells, intake structures, and sump pits. Available with direct drive or right-angle gear drive, impeller pull-out or non-pull-out variants, and mechanical seal or gland packing sealing options. Both dry pit and wet pit arrangements are supported, with vertical or inclined mounting for lift irrigation. Available in 50 Hz and 60 Hz configurations for global project requirements.
