Kirloskar SCT/SCT Extended Axially Split Casing Pumps
The Kirloskar SCT and SCT Extended are horizontally mounted, axially split casing single stage centrifugal pumps featuring accurately balanced single or double suction impellers for dependable performance. Manufactured by Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), the SCT delivers capacity up to 1,100 m³/hr and head up to 115 metres, while the SCT Extended offers capacity up to 4,000 m³/hr, head up to 240 metres, delivery sizes up to 350 mm, and an operating temperature range of -10°C to 100°C. Both models feature a detachable stuffing box and support horizontal or vertical pump axis configurations for flexible installation.
The SCT/SCT Extended split casing pumps are engineered for applications in air-conditioning, refrigeration, fire fighting, mining, petroleum refineries, and water supply with minor impurities. The axially split design allows the complete rotating unit to be removed for maintenance without disturbing pipe connections or motor alignment, significantly reducing downtime. Available in both 50 Hz and 60 Hz configurations, these pumps can be sealed with gland packing or mechanical seals. The SCT Extended's wide temperature range of -10°C to 100°C makes it particularly suitable for chilled water systems and hot water circulation alongside standard water supply duties.
