Kirloskar CF Multi-Stage Side Channel Pumps
The Kirloskar CF series are multi-stage side channel centrifugal pumps designed for low flow, high head applications handling clean, slightly contaminated, or aggressive liquids — including aerated liquids and gas-liquid mixtures. Manufactured by Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), these pumps deliver capacity from 0.3 to 35 m³/hr, head from 5 to 350 metres, delivery sizes up to 50 mm, working pressure of 40 bar, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +220°C. The CF features inherent self-priming capability, very low NPSHR for high suction lift, and a modular multi-stage design compliant with DIN 24254 standards.
The CF side channel pump generates significantly higher head per stage than conventional centrifugal pumps at low flow rates, making it the ideal choice where high pressure is required from a compact, low-flow pump. The unique side channel hydraulic principle allows continuous operation even with significant gas content in the liquid, making it uniquely suited for LPG, volatile chemicals, and processes where gas entrainment is unavoidable. The modular multi-stage construction allows flexible stage configuration to match exact head requirements. Available with gland packing or mechanical seal, compatible with electrical motors or engine drives, and featuring flanges per DIN 2501 PN 40 for high-pressure system integration.
