Kirloskar MF/MFV End Suction Mixed Flow Pumps
The Kirloskar MF/MFV series are single stage, horizontal spindle volute type foot-mounted end suction mixed flow pumps fitted with oil lubricated ball bearings. Manufactured by Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), these pumps deliver capacity up to 7,000 m³/hr (30,820 US gpm), head up to 30 metres (90 ft), with delivery sizes from 200 mm to 650 mm and an operating temperature range of 5°C to 140°C. The MF series features semi-open impellers for handling liquids with minor solids, while MF-E and MF-X variants offer enclosed impeller designs for higher efficiency on clean water applications.
The MF/MFV mixed flow pumps are purpose-built for low-head, high-capacity applications where large volumes of water need to be moved efficiently. The mixed flow hydraulic design combines axial and radial flow characteristics, delivering high flow rates at moderate pressures with excellent efficiency. The MFV variant offers vertical delivery configuration for installations requiring upward discharge orientation. Available in both 50 Hz and 60 Hz configurations with gland packing or mechanical seal options, these pumps are ideal for drainage, flood control, storm water management, irrigation, and large-scale cooling water circulation systems.
